Awards, Accreditation and Celebration for SILA

Singapore, Singapore, 13th October 2015 – Last night Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects (SILA) hosted its 10th biennial awards night celebrating the achievements of the landscape industry. SILA celebrated the achievements with the Singapore Landscape Architecture Awards (SLAA) and Gala Dinner at the Pan Pacific Singapore hotel. The Guest-of-Honour on the night was Mr Robert Tomlin, chairman of DesignSingapore Council Board.

Singapore Botanic Gardens inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage Site

SILA is proud that our very own Singapore Botanic Gardens has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Singapore Botanic Gardens joins England’s Kew Gardens and Italy’s Padua Gardens as one of three Botanic Gardens to be listed as a World Heritage Site.

First SILA STUDIO will be held on 11 March 2015 at Grant Associates

STUDIO symbolizes the opening of a house, inclusive design conversations and sharing. It is an opportunity to go behind the scenes of local practices to collaborate, share design culture and celebrate our profession.

STUDIO is a ground up initiative by SILA landscape practices to open up their Studios to engage in conversation. It is an opportunity to inspire, share our stories and learn through conversation and debate. “Do we really know our neighbours and co-designers?”
