Singapore Botanic Gardens inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage Site

5 July 2015

SILA is proud that our very own Singapore Botanic Gardens has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Singapore Botanic Gardens joins England’s Kew Gardens and Italy’s Padua Gardens as one of three Botanic Gardens to be listed as a World Heritage Site.

As landscape architects, many of our members have been involved in the management and improvement of the Botanic Gardens over the decades. It continues to be a great source of inspiration for our members and its many visitors. The submitted nomination dossier and more information can be found on the National Parks Board site here.
