Project Description and Commentary:
Highline Residences is located at Kim Tian Road, right at the city’s fringe in Tiong Bahru. With a myriad of facilities spread over several levels, there is space aplenty for recreation and interaction. The development features an elevated green ridge with a wide range of recreational and communal facilities, spanning an impressive 180 metres on five levels above ground.
The green ridge with its cascading water feature connects seamlessly with the landscape on the ground floor, providing a green sensory trail for residents. The development also features two sky terraces and a rooftop communal garden facility to encourage urban farming.
Expounding from the landscape concept of the High Line in New York, we envision our Highline Residences to be characterised by a design of permeating lines that animates into interactive polymorphic objects. We imagine the linear modularity of this design to be morphing and evolving into functional forms and features of the landscape, before it weaves back into the tapestry of quadratic lines. At once playful and purposeful, these lively and quirksome lines adds charm and amusement to the landscape with its creative metamorphoses.
